California PAL

California PAL serves as the California Chapter of the National Police Activities League and is a valued partner of the CIRC Youth Education & Empowerment Foundation.

The mission of California PAL is to assist police and sheriff’s departments across the state in establishing and developing PAL chapters within every community, thereby ensuring that all young people in California have access to meaningful and positive youth programs. Today, California PAL stands as the state’s largest juvenile crime prevention initiative, engaging more than 300,000 youth in active participation and continuing to advance toward its ambitious statewide goals.

Looking to the future, California PAL envisions a safer and more supportive environment for every community in California. By strategically expanding the reach and depth of its programs, California PAL seeks to further reduce juvenile crime and foster stronger relationships between youth and law enforcement.

To achieve these objectives, California PAL is focused on streamlining operations and strengthening its visibility and competitiveness within the nonprofit sector. The organization has made significant efforts to redesign its fundraising model by cultivating strategic corporate partnerships and enhancing its role in governmental and legislative affairs.

Over the years, California PAL has become a respected and influential voice in shaping local, state, and national policies related to youth development and juvenile crime prevention. The organization firmly believes that by continuously sharing its mission and advocacy—both in Sacramento and Washington, D.C.—legislative leaders will gain a deeper understanding of the needs of Police Activities Leagues and be better positioned to support their ongoing efforts.

The CIRC Youth Education & Empowerment Foundation is deeply grateful for the commitment and partnership that California PAL extends to our programs, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to enrich the lives of young people across communities throughout the county.
