She emphasized that the true purpose of education is to help young people understand the possibilities that lie ahead. “What we hope to do,” she said, “is to open a door that could change the direction of your life. When you understand how society functions and what different careers truly require, you can begin shaping your own future.”

Representatives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department delivered professional presentations to students, explaining the practical operations of law enforcement and emergency response systems, opportunities for youth involvement, and professional training programs. They also shared real-life case studies, helping students understand the mission and responsibilities of public safety careers from a professional perspective. Students actively asked questions, and the session was met with enthusiastic engagement.

The Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department set up interactive booths at the event. Students had the opportunity to handle equipment, learn about training procedures, and even try out certain emergency tools. Many students developed a strong interest in public safety careers after engaging with officers and firefighters. Several students filled out interest forms on-site, expressing their desire to join youth programs, fire cadet initiatives, or future internship opportunities. Teachers noted that this hands-on approach allowed students to learn outside the classroom and experience the work firsthand.

In addition to the county-level public safety departments, the foundation also invited William Wu, Sheriff of the Compton School District, to share his insights and experiences regarding school safety. He spoke about the importance of campus security, youth development, and personal responsibility, encouraging students to be brave, willing to take responsibility, and actively explore opportunities.

Wendy Wang shared some of her profound reflections on youth education and the future of the community. She stated that over the past decade, through her involvement in public service and cross-sector collaborations in communities such as the San Gabriel Valley, the deeper she understands how society operates, the more she appreciates the importance of youth education.

Wendy Wang stated that the work of CIRC goes beyond hosting events or providing educational resources. It aims to establish a long-term structure—an ecosystem where youth can receive continuous support from the start of their education, explore career pathways, engage with public safety, understand societal systems, and gradually develop leadership skills.

Looking ahead, the foundation plans to expand its programs to more cities and schools, forming long-term collaborations with government agencies, public safety departments, businesses, and community organizations. The goal is to guide students from being “passive learners” to becoming “active explorers,” and ultimately “engaged contributors and builders of their communities.” Wendy Wang hopes that the foundation can serve as a platform that transcends background, family conditions, and cultural differences, providing young people from diverse ethnicities and family environments with equal opportunities for growth.

The foundation’s team, including Co-Founder Vince Wu (CIRC President), Co-Founder Kent Jiang (CIRC Vice President), Honorary Advisors Daniel Andalon and Kyle Miller, Tax Advisor Steven Xing, and Honorary Education & Safety Advisor William Wu, introduced students to the upcoming series of CIRC programs in Southern California. These initiatives include leadership training, public safety education, career exploration courses, college application guidance, and a youth volunteer system. The goal is to establish a long-term educational resource network across multiple cities, providing students with meaningful support throughout their growth and development.
